Calculate a Minecraft pixel art material list.
A Minecraft pixel art material list counts every converted pixel by block type. Because one pixel equals one placed block, total materials equal width × height; divide each block count by 64 to estimate full stacks and leftovers.
1. Calculate the total area
Multiply blueprint width by height. A 48 × 32 wall contains 1,536 blocks, or exactly 24 stacks if every slot were filled. A 128 × 128 map canvas contains 16,384 blocks, equal to 256 stacks in total.
2. Count by block type
After conversion, BlockArtLab groups identical blocks and displays their exact quantities. The CSV export preserves the block name, count, and stack estimate so the collection plan can be opened in a spreadsheet.
3. Plan stacks and leftovers
For each material, divide the count by 64. A requirement of 150 blocks means two full stacks plus 22 blocks. Bring a small surplus for placement mistakes, especially on scaffolding or large horizontal builds.
4. Reduce expensive materials
Switch from Full Palette to Survival Friendly, or reduce the dimensions, then compare the totals again. A slightly less accurate color match can save several stacks of copper, quartz, or other costly blocks.
Collection checklist
- Export the CSV before construction
- Sort materials into labeled shulker boxes
- Keep row totals separate for large builds
- Carry spare blocks and temporary scaffolding
Build it with BlockArtLab
Upload your image once, compare the 2D blueprint and exact material totals, then export the format that fits your edition and build method. Unlike a visual-only pixel filter, the result is meant to be constructed. Conversion stays in your browser and requires no account.
These choices respond to recurring builder questions about exact material totals, direct schematic output, and resizing, flat maps, and large exports.
