Choose the best Minecraft block color palette.
The best Minecraft pixel art palette is the smallest group of blocks that preserves the subject while remaining practical to collect. Use concrete for clean graphics, Survival Friendly for ordinary builds, and Full Palette when color accuracy matters most.
1. Concrete Only: 16 colors
Concrete gives flat, saturated colors and a consistent texture. It works especially well for logos, flags, icons, cartoons, and readable lettering. The tradeoff is that subtle skin tones and natural browns may merge together.
2. Survival Friendly: 24 blocks
This palette adds quartz, sandstone, oak and spruce planks, mud bricks, moss, stone, and deepslate to the 16 concrete colors. It creates useful intermediate tones without relying on the rarest decorative blocks.
3. Full Palette: 28 blocks
The complete option also adds prismarine, amethyst, copper, and gold. It can reduce visible color error, but the closest digital match may cost more time in survival. Review the CSV totals before committing.
4. Judge texture as well as RGB
Two blocks can have similar average colors but look different in-game because of texture, lighting, and neighboring blocks. Generate a small test section in a creative world before gathering thousands of blocks.
