Bedrock Edition Guide · Updated August 3, 2026
Create pixel art for Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
For Bedrock Edition, use BlockArtLab to create a PNG placement grid and CSV material list, then build manually row by row. The .litematic format belongs to the Java Edition Litematica workflow and is not a direct Bedrock import format.
1. Choose a Bedrock-friendly size
Start at 32–64 blocks wide for a wall and keep the aspect ratio locked. Smaller designs are easier to follow on a phone or second screen while playing on console.
2. Use accessible materials
Survival Friendly is usually the safest palette for a realm or survival world. Concrete Only is easy to read in a blueprint but may require substantial sand, gravel, and dye preparation.
3. Download PNG and CSV
The PNG is the placement blueprint; the CSV is the collection plan. Both files are edition-independent because they describe ordinary blocks rather than a mod-specific import.
4. Build with checkpoints
Mark every eighth row and column, then compare the silhouette after each section. For horizontal map art, fix a north direction before laying the first row.
Bedrock workflow essentials
- Keep the blueprint open on a second device
- Use coordinates for corner reference points
- Store each color separately
- Do not promise direct Litematic import on Bedrock
Build it with BlockArtLab
Upload your image once, compare the 2D blueprint and exact material totals, then export the format that fits your edition and build method. Unlike a visual-only pixel filter, the result is meant to be constructed. Conversion stays in your browser and requires no account.
These choices respond to recurring builder questions about exact material totals, direct schematic output, and resizing, flat maps, and large exports.
